Teacher Appreciation Week is always a special week! Teachers play such an important role in everyone's life. I was fortunate to have super teachers in my career here at Perry Central, including Mr. Linne and Mr. Reese! Even though all teachers work hard to teach standards, I am sure if you think back to your most inspirational teachers, you do not remember very many standards they taught! Most of us remember the jokes they told, support they provided in our extra-curricular activities, and the genuine relationships that were developed. This week, I was reminded of the saying, "Where your treasurer is, your heart will also be." I feel so blessed to work with a group of teachers who truly have a heart for students. We know that learning is the goal, but building deep relationships are the priority.
A special thank you to all of you this week! Your hard work, dedication and caring concern for all of our students make each and every one special in my eyes. You are truly making a difference! Hope you feel special this week, you deserve it!
